jooyoun paek is an artist and interaction活動 designer born in seoul and based in new york. we first featured
her work on designboom over one year ago. since then she has produced a number of new works that
have been exhibited in prestigious有聲望的 exhibits such as
‘design and the elastic靈活 mind’ at the moma and
'untethered' at eyebeam gallery. here is some of her new work including ‘eye contact eyeglasses’ which
join two pairs of eyeglasses together to force the users to make eye contact and ‘self-sustainable持續 chair’
which uses walking generated產生的 air to inflate充氣 a chair.

american artist alexander calder is most famous for creating mobile sculptures. in 1926 he moved to paris
to further develop his career. during this period he created 'circus' a series of figurative比喻, moveable sculptures
made from wire, wood, cork軟木, leather and hand sewn fabric織物. the whitney museum has recently opened
an exhibition dedicated to his work in the paris years. over 265 objects are on display including illustrations插圖,
wire sculptures and toys.

yoav kotik is an israeli以色列 designer who currently has an exhibition called 'in the spring' at periscope gallery
in tel-aviv. as his main material, kotik uses metal bottle caps from glass pop bottles and gives them new life.
he bends彎曲, folds, cuts and presses the recycled material and transforms them into chandeliers枝形吊燈, jewelry
and small sculptures.
